UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a member of our Rehabilitation Services department, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
About the RoleThis per diem Physical Therapist position will work primarily in inpatient rehabilitation on the UNC Hillsborough Campus, with the option to cross-cover to acute care on the Hillsborough campus as well as Medical Center. You will be responsible for selecting and performing appropriate Physical Therapy evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems, and adjusting the treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
Responsibilities- Selects and performs appropriate Physical Therapy evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems.
- Re-evaluates and adjusts the Physical Therapy treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
- Manages resources needed to perform Physical Therapy treatment plan to accomplish goals set for the patient.
- Completes Physical Therapy documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and completes department records for billing and statistics.
- Manages Physical Therapy caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
- Provides clinical supervision and teaching for Physical Therapy students or staff.
- Evaluates the learner's performance.
- Plans and coordinates clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations, and reimbursement.
- Provides regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding Physical Therapy programs and patients served.
To be considered for this per diem Physical Therapist position, you must have graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. No prior experience is required.
