**Job Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Response Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health.

As a Medical Response Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, transporting, and providing basic life support treatment to patients in need. Your expertise and commitment to quality care will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and Transport Patients: Assess the medical condition of patients and transport them safely and efficiently to their desired destinations.
  • Provide Basic Life Support Treatment: Administer basic life support treatments, such as CPR and first aid, as needed.
  • Operate Ambulances Safely: Operate ambulances in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Document Patient Care: Prepare accurate and complete written documentation of patient care, including vital signs, treatment administered, and any other relevant information.

Requirements

  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an approved EMT or EMT-Intermediate training program is also required.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with an acceptable five-year motor vehicle record is required.
  • Certifications and Registrations: SC Emergency Med Tech Basic certification, National Registry of EMT certification, and BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification are required.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
