Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and outgoing service to customers, resolving complaints and answering questions.
  • Prepare food according to guidelines, operating food equipment and ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Record waste accurately and comply with all health code regulations, ensuring safe food handling.
  • Maintain the integrity of all food service products and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
  • Communicate with management staff regarding food service issues and concerns.
  • Process customer transactions, participate in suggestive selling, and follow cash control procedures.
  • Clean store interior and exterior, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing restrooms.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays both inside and outside.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in foodservice and/or retail environment preferred.
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, vendors, and management.
  • Able to read, write, hear, clearly speak, and understand the English language.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations to make correct change and accurately complete shift reports.
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to multi-task and work alone or with others.

Working Conditions

  • Prolonged walking or standing for up to 8-10 continuous hours.
  • Able to work in freezer and coolers at temperatures of 10 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
