We are currently seeking a Safety Technical Specialist to support our initiatives from a flexible location that is accessible to major transportation hubs.
Your Contributions
- Assist in the management of Safety Team projects.
- Provide support to safety and security personnel on various assignments.
- Help develop and coordinate responses for project proposals aimed at potential clients.
- Facilitate client interactions, ensuring effective communication and project updates.
- Contribute to Safety and Security Risk assessments for diverse projects or programs, including safety certifications.
- Support WSP projects that necessitate safety and security expertise.
Qualifications
Essential:
- 7-10 years of experience in transportation-related projects, particularly in public rail, transportation security, or emergency management.
- Bachelor's degree in transportation safety, engineering, planning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP) Certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), or Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) guidelines is advantageous.
- Strong writing and editing capabilities.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in safety and security risk assessment and analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $83,000 to $148,000. WSP is committed to providing a compensation package that reflects the successful applicant's education, experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and geographic considerations. The company reserves the right to adjust the final compensation based on various factors.
