Caregiver for Post-Anesthesia Recovery

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Birmingham, AL as a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse (PACU RN). As a PACU RN, you will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort during the critical post-operative phase.
About the Job- Assess and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including vital signs, pain levels, and overall stability.
- Provide immediate intervention in the event of adverse reactions or complications.
- Administer prescribed medications, including pain management and post-operative treatments.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama (or eligibility for licensure).
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PACU, ICU, or a critical care environment.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to provide passionate care to patients and families during recovery.
