Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cartographic Analyst to provide geospatial analysis and data review services for various production tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cartography and geospatial analysis, with experience working with GIS software and tools.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing cartographic analysis and data review services for various production tasks.
  • Manipulating and analyzing government-spec source data using standard GIS software and tools.
  • Assessing and providing quality control review of data in government-standard geospatial schemas.
  • Working independently with limited technical direction.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of geospatial data creation, conversion, maintenance, and manipulation principles and practices.
  • Geospatial data sources and metadata documentation standards.
  • Cartographic principles, including map design and production.
  • Geospatial analysis techniques, including geo-processing, statistical tools, and raster processing.
  • Principles and techniques of GIS database design and data models.
  • GIS software concepts and terminology.
  • Operational characteristics and capabilities of relational database management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military school-house training in Geospatial Analysis/Engineering or Cartography.

Clearance Requirement:

  • TS/SCI clearance is required, with willingness to obtain a polygraph upon request.

Salary Range: $60,000+ based on ability to meet or exceed stated requirements.
