Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or has completed requirements for BSN en route to MSN
  • 6 months of nursing experience
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • Current BLS
  • Advanced life support certifications (PALS, NRP, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC) may be required for various departments within 1 year of hire
