Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Oncology Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience. Our fast-paced unit is seeking a skilled and compassionate PCT to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient data and identify significant findings to report to the nurse.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Provide and revise patient activities of daily living based on patient preferences.
- Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
- Enter orders into the computer system if applicable.
- Document patient information accurately and appropriately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Current TX CNA or PCT training with NHA, NAHP, or NCCT, or an accredited community college program, or THR-approved program, or EMT for TX, or Military experience with medical training equivalent, or 1 year of applicable PCT experience, or Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program.
- Previous hospital experience is preferred.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training within 60 days of hire required.
