Job Title: Java & zOS Developer

Orion Innovation is a leading provider of business and technology services, delivering innovative solutions to clients across various industries.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with expertise in developing efficient and scalable Java applications for mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java internals, application containers, and DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex Java applications for mainframe systems, adhering to low latency, high throughput, and multi-threading requirements.
  • Consult with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services.
  • Support existing business systems applications and participate in 7x24 on-call system support.
  • Develop Java web applications using RESTful APIs, Java, J2EE, EJB, Java Transaction, and JPA.
  • Utilize Java application containers, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Apply knowledge of Java internals, garbage collection, application tuning, and Java dump analysis.
  • Experience with running Java on IBM mainframe is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools as part of SDLC.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and issue resolution skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Expert in multiple languages and tools, with some knowledge in emerging technologies (cloud).
  • Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, and methodologies.
