Job Title: Retail Receptionist

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Receptionist to join our team at Visionworks. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Assist with preliminary testing under the supervision of the Optometrist.
  • Perform medical coding, insurance research, and billing tasks.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and check patients in and out.
  • Collect payments, monitor front desk tasks, and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in a retail or medical office setting, preferably in the optical industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-5 years of related job experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Work Environment:

The Retail Receptionist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, interacting with patients, staff, and management. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and effectively, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this role is $10.03-$13.29 per hour, with opportunities for bonuses, equity, and commissions.
