Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Technician II plays a crucial role in the efficient distribution of supplies and equipment across various departments within the facility. This position involves the independent handling of receiving and unpacking supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation, and monitoring for expired materials. The technician fosters a collaborative environment by demonstrating proficient job performance and effective communication skills with team members and healthcare professionals. Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to organizational policies, is essential to maintain patient privacy and safety. Responsibilities may also include specific task execution and training of new staff within the department. Additionally, the technician may be authorized to manage and deliver controlled substances and medical devices, including needles, syringes, and other essential items in accordance with the core competencies of the role.
Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital staff.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and adhering to established policies and procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), EPIC, and related information systems.
- Adept at interpreting various forms of data and instructions, whether written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Capable of identifying, assessing, and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Commitment to ensuring the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
- Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Pay Range is $24.34 to $30.42 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
