The Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Radiology Technician (CVRT) to join our esteemed team. This role is integral to our operations, providing essential support in the Cath Lab environment.
Work Schedule:
- Minimum of 30 hours per week
- Contract duration of 13 weeks
Compensation: $75-$85 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Conduct specialized diagnostic procedures in Radiology, encompassing interventional angiographic and cardiac catheterization techniques.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all equipment components, particularly patient monitoring devices.
- Demonstrate the necessary skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients.
- Assist physicians during various procedures.
- Skillfully select catheters and guide wires, preparing the appropriate contrast materials using a power injector.
- Prepare the procedure room with the required equipment and imaging film.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining key aspects and obtaining preliminary imaging.
- Process and assemble imaging for professional interpretation.
- Adhere to established protocols to ensure radiation safety for both the technician and the patient.
- Perform essential nursing functions related to patient care, including monitoring vital signs as necessary.
- Identify arrhythmias and communicate patient status to the physician.
- Accurately label all imaging according to anatomical site and patient identity.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- Possession of a Radiologic Technologist License in the State of Maryland and ARRT certification, or RCIS certification as an alternative.
- Current BLS CPR certification is required.
