Position Overview

The School of Information Studies (SOIS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking applications for a Lecturer role in Information Science & Technology. This is a 9-month academic staff position classified as Teaching Faculty II, responsible for delivering both in-person and online courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a standard load of four courses each semester.
  • Engage in instructional activities that support the academic mission of the School.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as networking, web application development (e.g., PHP), information security, data analysis, project management, or machine learning applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience in programs related to Information Science, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver courses in various formats, including both onsite and online.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary, with a target range of $60,000, subject to final determination based on experience. Employees are entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes vacation, sick leave, personal holidays, and paid legal holidays. Contractual Terms
