About the Role

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily, adhering to facility procedures and schedules.
  • Respect residents' privacy and preferences, knocking before entering rooms and bathrooms.
  • Clean walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and waxed floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure housekeeping supplies are out of reach of residents at all times.
  • Dispose of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Post signs indicating safety hazards when housekeeping activities pose environmental risks.
  • Assist with laundry as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One year of experience as a housekeeper in long-term care preferred.
