Senior Urban Planner

T&M Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Urban Planner to join our team in Bloomfield, NJ. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of communities through inclusive and equitable planning practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement master plans that align with community goals and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and oversee the development of affordable housing plans, including Housing Elements and Fair Share Plans.
• Review and assess development applications for land use boards, providing expert recommendations.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Prepare and testify in support of expert witness reports, Redevelopment Studies, and Redevelopment Plans.
• Lead, mentor, and manage junior staff members, fostering professional development and ensuring project success.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Planning or a related field required; Master's Degree in City or Regional Planning or Urban Design highly desired.
• PP (Professional Planner) and AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) licenses are required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in municipal planning, land use planning, and/or project management.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills; public speaking experience; ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with clients, understand their needs, and develop practical solutions.
