Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing activities at InCommunity's Crisis Support Homes in Hampton and/or Floyd Counties. This role involves providing guidance and support to Lead LPNs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborating with the Director of Crisis Support Services to manage the homes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Oversight: Provide regular supervision and support to Lead nurses at each site, ensuring that nursing activities are conducted in accordance with InCommunity's policies and the State of Georgia Nursing Licensing Bureau's regulations.
  • Leadership and Management: Directly supervise Lead LPNs, manage their performance, and conduct performance appraisals. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to resolve current issues and improve nursing practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Review MARS and other nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Sign off on LPN notes and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Be available for on-call coverage as needed, ensuring that the Crisis Support Homes are adequately staffed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate Quarterly Staff Meetings and Admissions/Discharge Planning meetings. Serve as a liaison between InCommunity and external agencies, such as MCT, to meet the needs of individuals in the community.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Review and audit records to ensure compliance with regulations. Ensure that assessments and individual plans are completed as requested or required.
  • Staff Development: Provide health-related education and training to staff to meet the needs of individuals receiving Crisis Respite.
  • Collaboration with Director: Work closely with the Director of Crisis Support Services to ensure the efficient management of the Crisis Support Homes and compliance with regulations.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or other authorized personnel.
