Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Westmoreland Mining, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and services on heavy equipment, including dozers, haulers, blades, scrapers, loaders, and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Assist service oilers with performing PMs and other job duties as assigned.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment.
  • Work in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • 2-year diesel technology degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with repairs and servicing of heavy equipment, including dozers, haulers, blades, scrapers, loaders, and trucks.
  • Ability to work in a multi-shift environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
