Biology Instructor

Columbia State Community College is seeking qualified candidates for part-time faculty positions in Biology. As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching up to nine credit hours per semester and contributing to the academic success of our students.

• Develop and deliver engaging course materials and assessments that align with departmental standards.
• Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback to ensure academic success.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students.

• Master's degree or higher in Biology (or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Biology) for instructors.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology (or a related field with a minimum of 18 semester hours in Biology) for lab facilitators.

• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
