Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Expeditor to join our Hannaford To Go team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and prioritize shop and pickup processes to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Conduct order reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of products.
- Check code dates and fresh product quality, with a focus on produce.
- Count parcels to ensure accuracy and stage orders for consolidation.
- Setup shopper carts and partner with department leaders to ensure items requiring preparation are handled properly.
- Dispense pickup and delivery orders car-side to customers and last-mile delivery drivers.
- Monitor and manage all last-mile delivery orders through applicable dashboards.
- Answer phone calls to address customer questions and arrivals.
- Adhere to order wait time and order completeness goals.
- Handle cash pickups and change orders as requested, logging as required.
- Verify all customer IDs presented and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of checks and the sale of age-restricted items.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions (18 years of age).
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift.
- Ability to wear the shopping device, hands-free while shopping orders.
- Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
- Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
- Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
- Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
- Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
- Have sufficient visual acuity to read the handheld unit display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
