Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in Inpatient General Surgery

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient General Surgery team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role

As an Inpatient General Surgery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to adults hospitalized with a wide range of conditions, including surgeries and trauma. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
  • Participate in educational activities to maintain competence and gain new knowledge
  • Document required information according to hospital policy
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia
  • Experience in inpatient general surgery or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
