Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled IML Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IML automation systems. This includes performing daily walk-throughs and inspections, making minor adjustments to label placement and vision systems, and completing Pit Stop PMs.
Key Responsibilities- Be a role model of our company values and behaviors, communicating and working with equipment operators, product operators, and other departments to keep them informed of maintenance problems and activities.
- Complete daily walk-throughs and inspections of all IML automation, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Perform label placement adjustments to minimize scrap and optimize production efficiency.
- Make minor adjustments to vision systems to reduce false rejects and improve overall system performance.
- Perform daily Pit Stop PMs on IML automation, ensuring all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
- May be required to make minor mechanical or program adjustments to optimize performance of IML automation.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs to IML automation, ensuring all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Assist and participate in maintenance training programs and on-the-job training to develop a skilled and efficient maintenance team.
- Perform job requirements in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- Preferred 1+ years of work experience as an IML Technician, with a strong background in IML systems and maintenance.
- Previous experience with IML systems (Pages, Muller, IML Robotix) is strongly preferred.
- Entry-level knowledge of PLC's ladder logic, I/O, and machine control devices is required.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of machine vision systems (Cognex, Acquire) is required.
- Must be a team player with excellent attendance, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Capable of physical mobility, including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving (up to 35 pounds).
- Must have 20/20 vision with correction and be able to differentiate color to detect defects.
- Must be able to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reaction.
- Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
- Must provide own tools.
This is a 3rd shift position, working from 7:00pm-7:00am. Starting pay is $21.60/hr.
