Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AV Field Technician to join our team at GetConnected AV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing Audio/Video systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, data, and telephone systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prewiring, equipment mounting, speaker installation, home theater installation, network and telephone jacking, patch panel and 66 block terminations
  • Testing and troubleshooting of various systems
  • Interacting and coordinating with high-end clientele, designers, and contractors
  • Managing the implementation and completion of projects
  • Ensuring all work is completed in a craftsman-like manner, cleaned up afterwards, and to the satisfaction of the customer

Requirements include:

  • Valid Driver License
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the low voltage and custom AV field
  • Wire termination experience in all aspects of low voltage connections
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs, work on a ladder at least 8 feet tall, and work in confined spaces
  • Own tools or ready to purchase tools immediately upon hiring
  • General mounting knowledge of TVs and speakers to walls and ceilings
  • Familiarity with power tools and construction standards
  • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Industry certification (CEDIA, Polycom, Control4, etc.) are a plus
