Admissions Counselor

Bennington College is seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Counselor to join our team. As an Admissions Counselor, you will be responsible for designing and managing the recruitment, admission, and cultivation activities for a specific geographic region.

• Develop relationships with prospective students, high school guidance counselors, teachers, schools, and community-based organizations
• Evaluate applications from the region
• Collaborate with other members of the admissions staff to support administrative systems
• Represent the College to individuals and groups on and off campus

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of admissions or college counseling experience
• Commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist community
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, organizational skills, and a capacity for self-starting
• Strong technology orientation and ability to learn proprietary applications
• Ability to engage in thoughtful and high-volume email exchange and online events
