**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA License in state of employment required to join our team at Christus Health. As a Full Time employee, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values professional development and encourages growth.

About the Role:

This role involves assisting with routine and repetitive patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/licensed Nurse. You will be responsible for performing specific clerical, organizational, and patient-focused activities that support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
  • Completes pertinent documents
  • Prepares rooms for admission by setting up IV pots and adjusting bed to the appropriate level
  • Maintains security/confidentiality when transporting patients and interacting with family and visitors
  • Cleans, procures, and returns equipment and supplies
  • Runs errands for the unit as required
  • Assists licensed personnel in providing a safe and comfortable environment at all times
  • Perform unit-specific patient care tasks in accordance with the skills checklist and documents on the flowsheet
  • Identifies obvious changes in the patient's condition and takes responsibility for reporting those changes promptly to the nurse in charge
  • Assists with ordering and maintenance of stock items according to established inventory when needed
  • Keeps unit supplies in an organized and orderly fashion
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies
  • Communicates effectively with other team members during and between shifts
  • Responds to phone calls and patient call lights

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred
  • CNA License in state of employment required
  • BLS required

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on location and experience)
