Critical Care Cardiovascular Hospitalist Opportunity

MedStar Medical Group is seeking a board-certified Hospitalist to join the Cardiovascular Critical Care team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience in the care of complex cardiac patients and be able to manage cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate consultations and collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and other members of the care team
  • Manage cardiac and vascular surgical patients admitted to the cardiovascular step-down unit
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounding of IMC-level of care patients within the 18-bed mixed step-down cardiovascular unit
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, optimize delivery of care, and staff education
Requirements:
  • Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Commitment to clinical excellence
  • Broad cognitive and technical skills in the critical care setting
  • Experience with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery preferred
  • Eligible to work in the United States
