Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Hemodialysis Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting education and awareness, and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

This role offers a competitive salary of $84,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including paid training, opportunities for career advancement, and a comprehensive employee assistance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including hemodialysis treatments, medication administration, and ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients
  • Promote patient education and awareness, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about their treatment options
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and policies that enhance patient care
  • Assist with the training and development of new staff members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure seamless transitions
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid nursing license and current certification in nephrology nursing (CAP RN 1)
  • A minimum of 9 months' experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a hemodialysis setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date on best practices in renal care
