We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Trinity Health. As an ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage critically ill patients, including those with complex medical conditions and multiple organ system failures.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and psychosocial needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, and other nurses, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Iowa required.
- One year of acute care nursing experience, with prior ICU experience preferred.
- Completion of ACLS and PALS certification within six months of employment.
- Basic arrhythmia course within six months of employment.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
