Key Responsibilities
Service Assistance – Acts as a support resource for Service Technicians, covering for absences and providing additional assistance as needed. Temporarily takes over routes that are not yet assigned to a regular Technician.
Pest Management - Conducts thorough inspections to identify the source of pest issues. Provides services for residential and commercial pest control clients. Completes exterior sealing on properties to prevent rodent and wildlife entry. Conducts inspections for Wood Destroying Organisms. Drills and treats for Dry Wood and Subterranean Termites, fungi, and beetles. Installs and maintains termite control systems for clients.
Minor Construction and Repairs – Engages in light construction tasks including patios, doors, eaves, walls, and floors. Assists Repair Technicians with the replacement of wood damage.
Ongoing Education – Develops expertise in the range of Active Pest Control products and services. Remains updated on the latest industry developments, trends, technologies, and regulations. Participates in training provided by the employer on new methods, products, and services offered by Active Pest Control. Obtains and maintains necessary licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations, funded by Active Pest Control.
Position Requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening
- Possession of a valid driver's license and completion of a motor vehicle driving record check
- Availability to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays during peak demand periods
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred
Additional Skills and Attributes
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights (e.g., climbing ladders up to 20 feet)
- Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Willingness to learn about Active Pest Control products and services
- Capable of working independently after a training period
