Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at BlazerJobs in Camden, PA. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student. They will work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff to provide specialized instruction and promote a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and implement personalized education plans that address the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Provide Specialized Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction to students with special needs, working closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Assess Student Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's education.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively contribute to IEP meetings, working collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement strategies that support student success.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Special Education
  • An active State certification in Special Education
  • At least 1 year of experience in special education, with a preference for candidates with 2 years or more of experience working with students with disabilities
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and student development
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive pay rate of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
