POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary focus of this role is to deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring safety, satisfaction, and resource management. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Quality and Safety:
- Administers medications effectively, as evidenced by evaluations from preceptor observations and skills demonstrations.
- Delegates and supervises patient care tasks appropriately within the healthcare environment.
- Communicates efficiently with the healthcare team to foster collaborative care.
- Utilizes healthcare information systems for order management and patient documentation.
- Maintains high standards of clinical practice, demonstrated through competency assessments and skills evaluations.
- Coordinates interdisciplinary care plans based on current best practices.
- Documents all aspects of nursing care, including changes in patient condition and responses to treatments, to comply with regulatory standards.
- Exhibits reliability, dependability, and adaptability in all responsibilities.
Customer Experience:
- Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers as outlined in care plans.
- Delivers services with respect and sensitivity to the diverse needs of patients and families.
- Enhances patient satisfaction through consistent positive interactions and effective communication.
Resource Management:
- Utilizes and maintains medical equipment and supplies efficiently.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN licensure in the state of Florida or endorsement.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Additional certifications as required by the specific unit.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination necessary for clinical tasks.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as required.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Exposure to biohazardous materials and various health risks.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for responding to emergencies.
