Key Responsibilities

  • Test pipes for leaks and perform routine maintenance activities to guarantee the optimal functionality and performance of equipment.
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.
  • Install hot and cold water, sanitation, and drainage systems, as well as central heating systems and domestic fuel-burning appliances.
  • Design and implement water and heating systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Cut and join pipes and fittings, using a range of plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and perform regular inspections to ensure system safety and functionality.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs, such as floods or boiler breakdowns, to minimize disruption and ensure prompt resolution.
Requirements
  • Valid plumbing license and a strong understanding of relevant codes and regulations.
  • Own transportation and a valid driver's license, with a willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems, as well as proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good listening and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Good interpersonal skills and patience, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical dexterity and the ability to work at height or in cramped conditions.
