Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a vital role in the patient care process by performing moderate and high complexity testing, analyzing and reviewing test results, and implementing effective solutions when corrective action is needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including moderate and high complexity testing
- Analyze and review test results to ensure accuracy and quality
- Implement effective solutions to resolve issues and improve laboratory operations
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
- At minimum an associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
- Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing within area of specialty

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI).
