Position Overview:

As a Production Operative, you will engage in various production activities while ensuring a swift production pace across all operational areas.


Key Duties:
  • Evaluate products for quality, categorize by grade and size.
  • Package products efficiently.
  • Utilize proper techniques in all production sectors.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels as directed.
  • Communicate material supply statuses.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed within the facility.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of production machinery.
  • Keep the workspace organized and clean at all times.
  • Work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Provide support for additional tasks as required.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential: Experience in food processing equipment usage, sanitation practices, food safety protocols, and safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks. Familiarity with radio frequency handheld scanners and quality assurance processes is also required.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee must:

  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Walk to complete tasks.
  • Utilize hands for handling and communication.
  • Reach in various directions.
  • Grasp objects with hands.
  • Communicate effectively through spoken words.
  • Hear and comprehend sounds at normal speaking levels.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Visual acuity is necessary to assess the accuracy and thoroughness of work performed or to observe facilities.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $17.50.
