Job Summary

River Cities Builders Petroleum Services is seeking a skilled Electrical Apprentice to join our team. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will assist Journeyman Electrician in the service and repair of components of fuel dispensing systems, commercial electric installations, and other related systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams, product specifications, installation and start-up procedures.
  • Select materials and parts required to complete assigned repairs.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely to accomplish the assigned task.
  • Own and maintain tools required for position.
  • Complete assigned tasks quickly, completely, and consistent with guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean work area. Organize/ store tools and material to minimize damage to materials and risk of injury.

Safety Activities

  • Understand and comply with company safety policy.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA safety policies.
  • Participate in scheduled Safety Meetings.
  • Consider work to be performed to identify potential safety hazards and either eliminate the hazard or report the problem to Journeyman for resolution prior to beginning work.
  • Report accidents or injuries to Journeyman Electrician immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, three years in a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Restrictions.
  • Driver's license (current, unrestricted, and free of moving violations)
  • Must be able to meet company's employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
