About the Role
The Custodian is a key member of our facilities team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our properties.
Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
- Perform repetitive tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing high-touch areas.
- Maintain a clean work area, including the storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- May be required to have a valid driver's license.
- Completed all safety and task training certification.
- May be required to be forklift certified.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
- No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6 months of custodial experience.
Work Schedule
Wednesday - Friday, 4.00PM - 8:00PM, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00AM - 11:00AM
Compensation
$18.39 per hour
