Job Title: Cyber Systems Project Manager

As a Cyber Systems Project Manager, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on an exceptional candidate joining our team to manage the Systems Engineering & Architecture (SE&A) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of several systems and networks under our purview that support our customer's defensive cybersecurity mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and be responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.
  • Supervise less than 10 employees.
  • Manage a diverse team of engineers and systems support/operations personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure communication, collaboration, and cooperation across 2-3 teams that enable collectively enable mission success.
  • Assist the team to proactively identify risks and challenges and then develop or propose solutions to customer leadership to mitigate those.
  • Direct, track, and provide both formal and informal reporting on multiple projects and systems (create/update Confluence pages and Jira tickets, provide information for biweekly and monthly Project Management Reviews, provide summary emails and formal writeups upon request).
  • Manage/tracks Jira tickets and ensure work is being documented and prioritized correctly; participates in weekly SCRUMs; engages daily with the team to keep abreast of all work, issues, concerns, etc.
  • Communicates effectively with customer and contract leadership, as well as the contractor team, to understand and relay objectives, requirements, and cost/schedule/technical concerns.
  • Identifies capability gaps and addresses needs to ensure the teams have what they need to complete work and achieve project success.
  • Supports team in accomplishing the A&A cycles and drives the work-off of POA&Ms.
  • Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure is required; understanding of cybersecurity principles and controls is desired.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity Management, or related discipline
  • Experience: 6+ years of related experience managing IT projects
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Confluence/Jira experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project and/or Visio a plus)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
  • Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
  • Experience managing budgets and understanding of customer procurement methods a plus
  • Knowledge of ICD 503 A&A process and security controls a plus.
  • Location: Herndon, VA - customer site
  • US Citizenship Required
