Key Responsibilities

  • Prints daily expected deliveries and ensures that all purchase orders are readily available.
  • Confirms the quantity received against the purchase order to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicates with the Purchasing department regarding any discrepancies found in purchase orders.
  • Alerts Quality Assurance and supervisors of any issues related to raw materials, including quality, temperature specifications, packing date limitations, or mishandling.
  • Conducts daily inspections of forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure operational safety.
  • Maintains a detailed receiving log, documenting all quantities of raw materials received, vendor information, descriptions, establishment numbers, temperatures at the time of receiving, trailer conditions, set trailer temperatures, and driver identification verification.
  • Properly organizes all received raw materials and supplies to designated storage areas.
  • Ensures that all products received comply with the quality standards established by Columbus Craft Meats.
  • Responsible for transferring products from wooden pallets to plastic ones, including the insertion of dividers for all frozen raw materials.
  • Supplies all slicing lines with necessary production products and materials according to the production schedule.
  • Handles data entry for Adage and Whistle systems.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Engages in required stretching and exercise routines.
  • Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adheres to safety protocols when operating equipment.
  • Participates in all mandatory meetings.
  • Involved in cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Maintains records of all departmental activities, including shipping records, HACCP verification, and accurate transfers to designated locations.
  • Responsible for loading and cleaning the thaw room.
  • Reports any unusual occurrences, including accidents, equipment breakage, or malfunctions to the line coordinator or supervisor.
  • Collaborates effectively with other departments as required.
  • May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the production line coordinator, supervisor, or production management.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
