Job Summary:

As a skilled Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality patient care according to the American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice and the Maine Nurse Practice Act. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough admission assessments to identify actual and potential health problems.
  • Complete nursing assessments on assigned patients within an hour to ensure continuity of care.
  • Continuously monitor patient response to illness intervention and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Interpret clinical and diagnostic data to expedite intervention and ensure patient safety.

Requirements:

  • Maintain a current professional Maine registered nurse license with no lapse in re-licensing status.
  • Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain competency in nursing units.
