Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership teams, department staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure day-to-day operations and patient care run smoothly.
  • Key Duties:
    • Coordinate patient flow within the hospital by working with charge nurses, unit coordinators, and nurse coordinators.
    • Make informed staffing decisions that match patient needs with nurse competencies.
    • Foster a positive work environment by facilitating staff breaks and lunches.
    • Assess productivity every four hours, anticipate changes, and manage staff accordingly to maintain safety and productivity.
    • Mentor and train staff to address gaps in experience and acuity levels.
    • Perform weekly narcotic inventory and report discrepancies to unit leadership.
    • Function in all roles within the unit and act as a backup resource for staff.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Act as a super user for IT systems used in the unit.
    • Be available on call with a 30-minute response time.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Oregon RN License.
    • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
    • ACLS.
    • PALS within six months of hire (preferred).
    • TNCC within one year of hire (preferred).
    • Specialty certification upon hire (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, CEN, RNC).
  • Experience:
    • Two years of current Emergency Department experience.
    • Previous designated Charge Nurse experience in a related specialty (preferred).
  • Education:
    • Associates Degree in Nursing.
    • BSN (preferred).

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum
