Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all phases of bridge design and rehabilitation projects.
  • Effectively coordinate the efforts of engineers and maintain balance within the project delivery team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships while participating in marketing, proposal development, and contractual discussions.
  • Engage in compliance reviews with various regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate design development sessions and contract documentation alongside other technical disciplines.
  • Manage project workloads and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Monitor and control project budgets.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff members.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Conduct routine bridge inspections for local and state agencies.
  • Manage and evaluate load rating calculations for structures under state and local jurisdiction.
  • Supervise and assess hydrology and hydraulics analyses related to bridge projects.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience with MDOT-SHA, MDOT-MDTA, DelDOT, and/or VDOT.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Positive demeanor and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to teamwork.
  • NHI #130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges certification (preferred).
  • NHI #130078 Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges certification (preferred).
Additional Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend plans and instructions in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Capability to navigate construction sites with varying terrain.
  • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during work activities.
  • Able to lift and move inspection equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
