Summary/Objective
The Equipment Maintenance Technician is tasked with the upkeep and repair of machinery within the facility. This role includes performing routine preventative maintenance on various types of equipment. The technician plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with clients while ensuring the operational efficiency of rock crushing and related machinery. A key responsibility is to accurately diagnose and resolve issues with the equipment, contributing to a safe and organized work environment in the facility.
Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mobile rock crushing machinery and conveyor systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including replacing wear parts in crushers and checking bearings on conveyors, while documenting any damage or misuse.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace; uphold safety standards in an outdoor maintenance environment.
- Repair and replace conveyor belts and perform welding on aging steel hoppers.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in reading basic electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Familiarity with tools such as electrical meters, hydraulic gauges, and lifting devices.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and technical support teams.
- Accurate measurement skills using calipers, feeler gauges, and tape measures.
- Understanding of safety protocols when handling heavy machinery and materials.
- Basic experience in welding and fabrication.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a standard 40-hour week.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
