Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor / Benefits Administrator to join our team at Walker Bowen Talent Partners. As a key member of our client's HR department, you will be responsible for administering employee benefits, supervising payroll clerks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits, including pension plans, health insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance
  • Supervise the administration of 401k plans, flexible spending plans, and short-term disability plans
  • Supervise payroll clerks and ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
  • Prepare and distribute weekly payroll funding reports
  • Administer employee savings plans, including scheduling distributions and reconciling account activity
  • Prepare and provide requested reports and data for annual pension and 401k audits
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word
  • 1-2 years experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Professional communication skills and personal presentation skills
  • Ability to supervise others' work and be a point of contact for escalated questions
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and demographic backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize and be meticulous
