Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $98,150.00 - $177,425.00. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cartographer to join our team supporting a U.S. federal government intelligence agency. This role involves working closely with analysts to understand their requirements and using your cartography skills to enhance and convey analytic thoughts and assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize technology to design maps, graphics, illustrations, and layouts for Finished Intelligence (FINTEL) production.
- Analyze and evaluate cartographic information to determine the most appropriate data sources for FINTEL.
- Research, select, and evaluate map source data for use in the preparation or revision of maps and charts to various scales.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior cartographers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
- Demonstrated proficiency in professional cartography tools, including ArcGIS Maps; Maya; ArcGIS CityEngine; ArcGIS Pro; ERDAS; RemoteView; ENVI; SOCET GXP; and ArcMap.
- Knowledgeable of and demonstrated ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
- Experience with DoD and IC imagery assets.
- Demonstrated ability to provide cartographic guidance to junior team members.
- Demonstrated ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
- Ability to research and obtain, evaluate, organize, and maintain information within security and data protocols.
- Experience communicating complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally.
