The Nutrition Center at Boston Children's Hospital is dedicated to delivering comprehensive nutrition assessments and customized care plans for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with various conditions.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus a sign-on bonus of $2,000 for full-time positions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Experience Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling patient encounters, and coordinating with clinicians and supervisors to ensure seamless patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide positive and effective customer service to support unit operations
  • Collaborate with referring providers and practices
  • Obtain required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules
  • Schedule patients and support the patient encounter
  • Answer and screen call center phone line
Scheduling:
  • Schedule patient encounters and procedures to coordinate with and across providers, departments, and institutions
  • Monitor daily schedule and coordinate flow to optimize resource utilization and patient experience
  • Communicate with clinicians and/or supervisors and route patients/visitors to maintain efficient patient/visitor flow
Administrative:
  • Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, initiate calls for emergency services
  • Provide routine clerical support as needed
  • Utilize all office technology, including phone systems, email, Microsoft Office programs, and clinical, scheduling, and billing applications
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 6 months relevant healthcare experience required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
