Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced APRN to join our Department of Neurology at U of L Health - South Hospital. As an inpatient neurology care provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough neurological assessments, diagnose, and manage various conditions, including stroke and general neurology cases.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with healthcare teams, ensuring timely implementation of patient plans and coordination of care.
- Diagnostic Review: Analyze diagnostic tests, identifying relevant information to inform treatment decisions.
- Treatment Orders and Prescription: Order and prescribe medications within your scope of practice, adapting treatment plans as needed based on patient responses.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience as an APRN.
- Licensure: Current licensure in Kentucky as an APRN.
- Certification: National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- DEA Certificate: Current DEA certificate without restriction.
- Work Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday through Friday (8 am - 5 pm).
