School BCBA Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at Sonnenberg Consultants. As a BCBA in our school setting, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective behavior plans, including data collection systems, using Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, staff, clients, and parents to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Assess student skills, behavior challenges, and social skills with proficiency in all assessments utilized by Sonnenberg-VBMAPP, AFLS, ABLLS, Essentials for Living, etc.
  • Utilize data to determine baseline, function, and progress of maladaptive behaviors, with regular review and oversight alongside senior staff.
  • Develop and participate in parent training as needed for each client.
  • Continually assess and monitor parent involvement and client attendance, creating and implementing corrective action plans when needed.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Sonnenberg School Executive Director, Regional Clinical Director, and other team members to assess clinical need in the school setting.
  • Participate in HR duties, such as verbal and written corrective feedback, staff evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc., in collaboration with the People and Culture Manager.
  • Assess, document, and maintain information regarding BTTh and BTT staff performance and evaluations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor BTT and BTTh positions by demonstrating a comprehensive approach to staff management and improving performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director with feedback on clinical processes, staff management, HR policies, and Sonnenberg Schools program collaboration.
  • Assist in ensuring that clinical staff are aware of all policies and procedures, and follow through to ensure understanding and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Active driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a caregiver's background check.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a team player, willing to collaborate and work with a variety of individuals with all types of backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and efficiently manage time across multiple settings and responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
