Role Responsibilities:
The Operating Room Specialist , under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, will deliver patient care in a manner that respects each individual's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. This role involves preparing and maintaining the surgical environment and assisting the surgeon during procedures.
Key Duties Include:
- Supporting departmental goals and initiatives, including room turnover and timely starts for surgical cases
- Assisting in the training and orientation of new staff as directed by the Clinical Educator
- Ensuring a safe environment for patients
- Upholding sterile techniques throughout surgical procedures
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
- Certification: BLS healthcare provider certification required
