Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Chandler Regional Medical Center. This role is critical in providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in titrating intravenous drips.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • An active nursing license in Arizona or a compact state is necessary.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination protocols is essential, with provisions for medical or religious exemptions.
  • All travelers must successfully complete a dysrhythmia examination prior to commencement of duties (with a maximum of two attempts).
  • Participants will also undergo a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation, with study materials provided.
Work Schedule
  • Flexibility to float to associated facilities as needed.
  • Completion of the dysrhythmia exam is required within 48 hours of the job offer.
  • Orientation includes a two-shift floor-specific training.
Unit Details
  • Unit: Medical-Surgical B2D
  • Bed Capacity: 30 beds
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 during both day and night shifts
  • Weekend Commitment: 4 shifts per 4-week cycle, including one major and one minor holiday.
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Monitoring Equipment: GE Monitors with a central monitoring station.
  • Additional Support: House SWAT Nurse available for challenging IV placements.
Patient Care Focus

This unit primarily handles general and orthopedic trauma patients, including those requiring chest tubes, drains, and wound vacs. Candidates should be adept at managing patients with peritoneal dialysis, while contract dialysis services are utilized for other needs.

Additional Information
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience required.
  • Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms is essential.
  • This is a designated COVID unit.
  • Utilization of 1:1 PCT sitters for patients requiring close observation.
