We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Bariatric Surgery Program Manager at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in optimizing the coordination of services across the continuum of care for patients enrolled in weight management and bariatric surgery programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and document patient care plans, prioritizing based on patient need.
- Review patient surgery schedules, including all readmissions.
- Conduct and coordinate bariatric education programs on various topics in community and clinical settings.
- Stay up-to-date with current research related to bariatric surgery and weight management.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and patient care conferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reports in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with MBSAQIP standards and maintain relevant pathways, protocols, staff, and patient education.
- Monitor and collect statistical data/outcomes as required in collaboration with the MBS Clinical Reviewer.
- Facilitate medical information and progress toward therapeutic goals, errors, patient reactions, or complaints to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- 10 years' experience in healthcare delivery.
- Prior experience in weight management programs, with emphasis on Bariatric Surgery preferred.
- Experience in case management preferred.
