Electrician - Journeyman

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team at George J Hayden Inc. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply complete and thorough knowledge of electrical tasks, including laying out, assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and related equipment.
- Perform all types of wire terminations and troubleshoot electrical systems on commercial, industrial, or residential jobsites.
- Demonstrate complete and thorough knowledge of electrical materials and tools, and analyze, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Mentor apprentices and helpers, monitor work progress, and ensure accurate coding of timecards and proper completion of time and material sheets.
- Collaborate with a crew of electricians or other jobsite tradespeople, and maintain clean, safe work areas.
- Communicate with other employees, management, and customers in a professional manner, and conform to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Journeyperson certificate or 7 years equivalent work experience.
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
- Jobsite visits may require lifting not to exceed 50 pounds, standing, bending, or reaching for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and nights may be required.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers, and ability to frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to work outdoors or in restricted areas, such as switcher rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics.
The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience, ranging from $30.00 per hour.
